Vistrol - Organotrol - Master Table

Vistrol products are quaternary amine modified clays that are used in solvent-borne and non-solvent applications. Since Vistrol's do not use bentonite's as the base clay they will have a lesser affect on apparent (e.g. Stormer) viscosity than quarternary amine modified bentonite clays (e.g. Organotrols), Hence, they perform well in high solids coatings, dip tank coatings, etc. They may also be used in conjunction with other types of thixotropes to provide a unique rheology and/or to improve the pigment suspension properties.

Vistrol PL - has been designed as a subsitiute for fumed silica in polyester laminate applications. It is also very effective in 100% epoxy coatings and other non-solvent coatings.
